2. Price-Matching

Once you verify customer SS, you simply use the same website to price match the customer’s screenshot (Booking or Expedia for hotels & airlines official website for flights).  

**** For any product, 100% price matching is required except for hotels. For hotels, we can price match up to 110% of the customer’s price.  
EX: If the customer price is GBP100 and my price is GBP110, then it’s a price match. ***** 

  • If my price is lower than the client’s price, then it is a price match. 
  • If the customer’s SS is more than two hours and we can price match, then we can proceed. 
  • If the customer’s SS is less than two hours or our price is up to 110% of the customer’s price, then we can proceed.  
  • If customer’s price is more than two hours or price variance is more than 10%, then we ask the customer if the screenshot was taken recently if not, please share a recent SS with the most updated price, using the relevant template from our templates. 

*** If the customer shared a recent SS and we couldn’t find a price match, then we consult with DM.  
*** We can ask the client to send them a Teams’ meeting link to be able to collect a price match SS during the team’s call – Must be approved by DM. 

  • For All products, once we have a price match, we can carry on and create a Price-breakdown (if customer is using their product in the wallet to pay, then no price breakdown is needed) and share it with the customer, except for hotels. 
  • For hotels, we MUST follow the below points: 
     
  1. Ensure we have a price match 
  1. Hotel MUST be refundable 
  1. Hotel MUST be Payable online (Booking / Expedia) – Means it can be paid at a later date. Pay immediately, pay partial now or pay at property are not eligible.  
  1. Check hotel availability or payable with Tripiology  
  1. If hotel is not available or payable with Tripiology, we MUST check hotel availability and payment option with the reservations team (Reservation Enquiry Group) 
  1. Once hotel availability and price match are confirmed, we can continue to create our Price breakdown message.  
     

NOTES:  
 
*** Hotel is NOT considered payable if it shows only pay now, pay at the property, or partial payment. We only consider the hotel payable if it is 100% pay later. 
 
*** If the hotel is not payable, we always check Tripiology or Reservations team. If our price is equal to, or lower than customers price, then we can proceed. If our price is more than the customer’s price, then we can tell the customer that hotel is only pay at property and ask him to share an alternative option.
